Success - Christmas in October
We would like to take this time to thank our sponsors and donors and all of volunteers for their wonderful support of our first annual “Christmas in October” golf tournament, dinner, and auction.
The event was a huge success with well over $15,000 raised for at risk children and women throughout Sonoma County. Some of the highlights during the event would include our golfers teeing off of a giant snowball and driving a giant marshmallow with a mighty swing.
During our dinner and auction we had a number of special guests representing local non-profits including Creighton Rochlin, who spoke from his heart about the CCS Medical Therapy Unit of Sonoma County Services, what it means to him and his friends during their rehabilitation. Creighton shared with our guests the importance of these programs and how they effectively support the children and families they serve
And who could forget, our auctioneer Riley Lincoln, a local student at Windsor Middle School who captivated the audience with his charm and talent throughout the live auction.
We are now gearing up for the holiday season with turkey distribution to local families which will be delivered on November 22nd. We are currently purchasing sleeping bags, backpacks, and winter clothing and preparing these items for distribution during the cold winter months ahead.
